Welcome to Center for Biblical Studies!

Our Purpose:

The purpose of the Center for Biblical Studies is to train men and women in the word of God.  Our goal is to prepare students to be pastors, teachers, evangelists, and Church leaders.

Our History:

The first CBS was opened in Malabo, Equitorial Guinea, in 1991.  Since then, new schools have opened in Bata, Equitorial Guinea, Bamenda, Cameroon, and Bafoussam, Cameroon.

Our Philosophy:

Our students are training in ministry, not just for ministry.  Most are involved in teaching, evangelism, and other local church ministries.  Several churches have been planted and are being pastored by our students.  Our student body is involved in jail ministries, ministry to widows, prayer ministries, AGLOW, YWAM, Teen Missions, Gideons International, evangelism to unreached areas, street evangelism, bus evangelism, hospital visitation, and many others.  One learns as he does.

Interdenominational:

One of the unique features of Center for Biblical Studies is our interdenominational environment.  Over 18 denominations are represented in our student body.  We believe this facilitates a greater understanding and unity among the churches, and thus promotes the unity of the body for which Christ prayed (John 17).
